Pope Francis blesses a Pictography
The Holy Father recently received the reproduction in pictography on panel of the Madonna of Peace by Pinturicchio, a work very dear to him.
The painting was created representing a detail of the Madonna with the child holding a sphere in his hand (the world) and the infant Saint John. Executed in oil on panel, it features hot plaster reliefs and 18 kt pure gold gilding.
