A unique gift for G7: the Creation of the Cosmos by Bottega Tifernate

On the occasion of the prestigious G7 visit to Anagni, our bishop, Monsignor Ambrogio Spreafico, chose a gift of profound artistic and cultural significance for the Foreign Ministers of the member countries: an extraordinary reproduction of the most iconic frescoed vault of the Crypt of San Magno.

A masterpiece of sacred art and philosophy

The reproduction, skilfully created by the artisans of Bottega Tifernate, depicts a scene that is unique in the world: the Creation of the Cosmos and the Microcosm, a work that combines Christian iconography with elements drawn from pagan philosophies, making the pictorial cycle of the Crypt a unique artistic and spiritual unicum. This choice of gift is not random: the universal message of harmony between the macrocosm and the microcosm, depicted in the original fresco, resonates as an invitation to dialogue and global cooperation, core values of the G7.

The craftsmanship of excellence of Bottega Tifernate

The reproduction was made using high-precision techniques that combine innovation and tradition. Bottega Tifernate, renowned for its faithful reproduction of historical works of art, has restored every detail of the original fresco, capturing its colours, nuances and aura of sacredness.

A gift appreciated by the world's greats

The gift, welcomed with great enthusiasm by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, stands as a symbol of the artistic and cultural heritage of Anagni and of Italy as a whole: it represents not only the richness of our history, but also the value of intercultural dialogue that finds expression in art and spirituality.

The Crypt of San Magno, with its timeless frescoes, once again confirms itself as a place of universal inspiration, capable of speaking to the heart of anyone who contemplates it. With this gesture, Anagni has placed itself in the international spotlight, not only as the City of the Popes, but as the custodian of artistic treasures capable of fascinating and uniting different cultures; an example of how art can be a bridge between past and future, between spirituality and diplomacy.
