Bottega Tifernate on Rai Uno "In His Image"
From Saturday 21 October 2023 on Rai Uno a new cycle of "Reasons of Hope" will start, entitled "Guardians of Beauty", the second part of the program "A Sua Immagine". The first stop on the program is Città di Castello. Stefano and Francesca Lazzari will also participate with their Bottega Tifernate. Conducted by Monsignor Dario E. Viganò, vice-chancellor of the Pontifical Academy of Sciences and Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences.
Images and in particular art have always been at the service of the Word. Art is a silent and at the same time eloquent word to make the invisible visible.
The “Reasons of Hope”, second part of “A Sua Immagine” is a historic program on Rai Uno. It was born from the collaboration between the Public Service and the Italian Episcopal Conference. The program is dedicated to the commentary on the Sunday Gospel. The new route entitled "Guardians of Beauty" will tell how over the years artists have represented faith by referring to some important Italian cities that preserve great art treasures. Masaccio, Perugino, Pinturicchio and Giotto are just some of the artists who will accompany Italians on this journey. Through the analysis of the works, the commentary on the Gospel will then be carried out, since, as the painter Marc Chagall wrote: "The Bible is the source from which artists of all times have drawn, as in a colored alphabet".
The first stop of the “A Sua Immagine” column is Città di Castello, in the green heart of Umbria. The Tifernate episode gave space to the most well-known and evocative places of the city. In fact, the Garden of Palazzo Vitelli in San Egidio, Piazza Matteotti, Piazza Gabriotti, the Renaissance garden of Palazzo Vitelli at the gunboat and other views of the city will appear. Bottega Tifernate will also be present in this first episode, a company that has been dealing with reproductions of works of art since 1990. Thanks to the work of the painters, led by Stefano and Francesca Lazzari, it will be possible to learn about the extraordinary art of reproducing the paintings of the greatest masters through Pictography, a patented technique invented by the owners of the Tiferno company. The Bottega Tifernate laboratory will therefore also appear in the program.
At the end of the recordings of "A Sua Immagine", which took place between Tuesday 10 and Wednesday 11 October, the Vice Mayor Giuseppe Bernicchi received Monsignor Dario Viganò, the television crew and Maestro Stefano Lazzari in the Municipality to express gratitude and wish good work to all the staff in view of the new season of the program. Filming will continue in Perugia, Spello, Vatican City, Parma and, finally, the Scrovegni Chapel in Padua.
