Carlo Maratta: Nativity – Limited Edition
After the success achieved with the "Madonna of Providence" by Sassoferrato, the Bottega Tifernate created a work in 499 examples distributed throughout the world. This is the Nativity , created by Carlo Maratta in 1650 and located in Rome in the church of San Giuseppe dei Falegnami. Reproduced in pictography painted in oil on 400g linen canvas. measuring 30×40 cm (46×56 cm outside the frame), it is numbered with a brass plaque affixed to the back and is accompanied by a nominal Certificate of Authenticity, an illustration of the Artist's life and a brief explanation of the Masterpiece. The workmanship is carried out with high quality materials: the colors used are oil and the solid wood frame is gilded with gouache gold leaf. A unique work created in a few copies, destined to increase in value over time.
