Prince Akishino receives a fresco from Bottega Tifernate
In his historic visit to Città di Castello, Prince Akishino, second son of the Emperor of Japan Akihito, and his wife, Princess Kiko, received a fresco from the Bottega Tifernate.
This is a detail of the "Procession of the Magi with King Belshazzar", painted by Benozzo Gozzoli in 1459 and located on the wall of the Medici Chapel inside the Medici Riccardi palace in Florence. In particular, the face of Lorenzo the Magnificent was created, the Medici Prince who is considered one of the symbols of Renaissance Italy.
