From Norcia to Città di Castello: the Memories#Confronti exhibition.

Norcia, Gubbio, Città di Castello, Montone, Alviano, Attigliano. Six centers in the Tiber Valley, including some territories affected by the 2016 earthquake, have joined the Genius Loci Floridi Doria Pamphilj Association's program to enhance and promote the territory and the historical and cultural heritage of places linked to the Floridi Doria Pamphilj families through art and music. The first initiatives are scheduled from November 2 to 18. Kicking off the calendar is the exhibition Memorie#Confronti, the opening of which will take place on Friday, Nov. 2 at 5 p.m. in the Pinacoteca of the Renaissance Palazzo Vitelli alla Cannoniera in Città di Castello, among the most important museums in Umbria for works kept and a true jewel to be discovered. The exhibition, scheduled through Sunday, Nov. 18, compares contemporary art and ancient pictorial tradition with the display of the winning work of the first edition of the "Memorie#" Prize, Clavis Universalis by Jasmine Pignatelli, alongside copies of ancient artworks that refer to three episodes in the historical and artistic tradition of the Floridi Doria Pamphilj families.

The reproductions for the Memories#Confronti exhibition were made by Bottega Tifernate, which recreated each painting following the characteristics and colors of the originals. A long path of research and study followed by the entire Bottega team allowed to reconstruct in the smallest details paintings on panel, canvas and even drawings on cardboard, part of the great collection of the Doria and Pamphilj princes but also of the Floridi family.
